The flagship of a wood flooring company, resolved with exposed natural logs.

The project for Indus Parquet — a Brazilian company specialising in the production and installation of wood flooring, with more than 80 years of history — is an architectural reading of the values that define the brand: sustainability, traceability and a bond with nature. Set in the Núñez neighbourhood, the flagship offers an immersive experience in which wood appears in its purest, most essential state. The design draws on the controlled planting and felling processes the firm runs across different regions of Brazil, building a spatial narrative tied to the forest landscape and to the organic origin of the raw material.
The architecture is structured around an orthogonal composition of exposed natural logs, used as façade, cladding and as the topography of the outdoor entrance. That entrance plane works as a sculptural surface: it organises the relationship with the public realm and builds a physical and perceptual barrier from the pavement. Inside, the space unfolds along a winding, non-linear route inspired by the experience of moving through a forest, articulating areas for display, service and material exploration.

The spine of the project is a series of floor-to-ceiling pivoting structures displaying more than forty varieties of wood and finishes. Alongside them sits a “creative table” for professionals, clients and brand consultants to work together. The route ends on an upper level given over to meetings, events and dining, taking in a landscaped terrace, designer furniture, one-off pieces, specialist lighting and artworks that consolidate a complete brand experience in which architecture, landscape, art and materiality operate as a single narrative system.
