Complete refurbishment of the Roket nightclub: five levels where light is both the technology and the aesthetic.

This is a complete refurbishment of the Roket nightclub in San Carlos de Bariloche. A large undertaking, given the scale of the job (1,500 m²) and the constructional complexity of five levels with balconies and tiered seating.
This new take on the nightclub takes on the aesthetic and technological challenges of our time. Both come together under a single criterion, in which lighting is the technology and also draws the aesthetic of the club.

Inspired by light and its speed as the dominant element. Through speed, humanity reached horizons beyond anything imagined: outer space. The technology of a spacecraft’s thrusters seems to tell us the story of what happens out there — rings of light and gas wrapping entire planets.
Roket speaks a futuristic industrial language, in both its forms and its materials. Perforated sheet metal, stainless steel panels, rubber floors and walls, polycarbonate sheets and metal ribs all echo the interiors of spacecraft. Stone elements, like space rocks, appear in specific details and make up much of the furniture in the VIP areas.

Oval and circular pieces recur across the club, their shapes standing for speed through moving light (pixel LED) that follows the beat of the music. The more static lighting of the ribs (RGB LED) composes different lighting scenes as the occasion requires.
